Watching From Afar

by Nicole Kinder   Jun 6, 2004

My love, you have an Angel watching you
From her corner far
If you listen and you look
You can see her star

Hear the flutter of her wings
Smell her jasmine scent
Feel the peace she brings your Soul
Never will you lament

Know she is always near
Distance means nothing
When Souls unite and Spirits gleam
She becomes a blessed thing

Whisper in your ear she will
Of prophetic dreams
Softly kiss your face
So no tears may ever be seen

The magic of her aura penetrates your soul
She knows your every step
Tries hard to remove the stones
And vows to keep your Spirit whole

So know you never walk alone
She is there beside you for
Her wings embrace your Soul

Listen and look when you are in doubt
The trees will whisper she is near
The flowers will sing out
The colors of the Sunset
Will satisfy your doubt...

This is a very good one, with a very good inspiration behind it. Most people look for constant rhythm in a poem, and if it doesn't have that then they don't consider it good. I usually am the same and I try to put poems into rhythms if they don't have a specific one, and when you put this poem into rhythm it feels like the person is whispering it and is exaggerating certain parts, speaking faster and slower. Well just a very good job, i give it a 5!
