Just You

by Hillary Starz   Jun 6, 2004

You filled me with laughter.
You filled me with love,
You gave me emotions I’ll always put above,
Your voice was so soft,
You smell was so sweet,

The taste of your lips,
The touch of your hands,
Like a thousand and one baths in vanilla,
My heart sank,
And we drifted off together in our own solitude,

The hardest part was letting go,
the day went by,
And then you were gone

My love my only
was gone.

I think sad love poems are some of the saddest poems overall. "I'll", shouldn't have the quotation mark within it. It should be "touch", not tuch. I think Vanilla is spelt with one n, but I'm not sure. This was a good poem, good job on it!
