My Love For You

by Crystal   Sep 30, 2008

My love for you
is like the rain as it pounds,
against your window in the early morning light.
Steady and constant.
Rivulets of my love trace beautiful, fractured
and branching pathways
across the surface of your soul.

My love for you
is like the depths of the ocean,
sparkling like a precious jewel in the sun.
Deep and endless.
Waves of affection cradle you gently, soft,
holding you close and
surrounding you with devotion.

My love for you
is like the silence of the night,
pressing against you, taking the heat from the sun.
Quiet and deafening.
Soothing you to sleep and lovely dreams of me.
Sunlight replaced with
body heat to warm you again

I loved the literary elements you used in this poem it made me able to visualize what you were talking about in a different sense if that makes sense you couldn't just read the poem, you had to take the next step and comprehend it more thats a good thing to have in a poem! great job! 5/5
