I Miss You

by Crystal   Oct 26, 2008

When you are gone,
my heart is broken.
A thousand tiny pieces
all yearning for your touch,
missing your warmth next to me as we sleep.

I feel your absence
every moment we are apart;
every breath I take without
your smell filling me,
giving me more life than the air I take in.

An email to greet me
in the morning or a voice over
the phone line just to say hi;
it is never enough for me,
never the same as having you here.

I even miss how you
wake up at five every morning
and even though I'm obviously sleeping,
insist on waking me up too.
And not in a good way.

I miss your touch on my skin,
your voice in my ear,
and your breath in my hair.
How you laugh in bed,
and only drink water if it's lukewarm.

I miss falling asleep to your heart,
and waking up to your smile.
Your arms surrounding me,
protecting me from the chill of loneliness.
I miss you more than I have words.

I live for the day
I don't miss you and the night
we don't have to say goodbye and
fall asleep alone, in separate beds,
thousands of miles away from each other.

    Ahh i can so relate to this : / i dated a guy in florida for like 2 years and i live in ohio it was one of the most painful things i have ever gone through you get this pain that isn't a siring one but more powerful than someone stabbing you just hang in there...if you really love him you will show that by staying with him! 5/5 great job!
