Vengeful

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 1, 2008

Insanity comes creeping in,
Crawling underneath my skin,
Into my brain, it slowly bleeds,
Planting evil tainted seeds.

Vengeance is my friend today,
Swift and clear, I'm swept away,
Drawn into this toxic soul,
That took my heart and left a hole.

I wonder if you'll give a kiss,
To the love you claim to miss,
Those lips that said forevermore,
Before you threw them to the floor.

Are those the lips you'd seek to find?
To ease the questions in your mind,
Those eyes of love that died the day,
You cast my beating heart away.

They do not live inside this form,
This frozen stone that once was warm,
Resentment's all that habours here,
Bitter, angry, insincere.

The words I spoke, a twisted lie,
To draw you to me in reply,
A plan to cleanse myself of sorrow,
You will not live to see tomorrow.

Iron fists and blades of steel,
A pain I'm sure you're bound to feel,
Just as I, for all these years,
Left to fester in my tears.

You'll drown inside your dying dreams,
Wishing I would hear your screams,
Ears fall deaf, a smile born,
For every piece of flesh that's torn.

Wow, good rhyming and flow. Very deep.
This gave me the chills too when I read this, and your descriptions gave my mind such visuals. I got so into this poem, I was wanting more by the end. Take care, 5/5 from me. Keep writing, always and forever....
