Tears

by Mollie   Dec 25, 2007

Melt thy tear to a salted flake
And expose its harmful truth
To whom shall it be assumed?
Who needed this bitter proof?

In the salted flakes do gleam
A moment of pungent hope
When sadness dampens ones soul
One look in the gleam provoked

Do tell the world t’was true
Reason why they should pity you
Then grit and hold that bitter lie
You depicted to be the truth

Tears that do shed on battle fields
Play onto war as if a game
Play with the bird that is extinct
And preach as if peace were the same

Melt thy tear to a salted flake
And expose its harmful truth
Recipe of lies and deceit
Will leave a bitter taste uncouth.
