Dance around in the rain

by Tangible heartache   Oct 2, 2008

Moving under the cover of the rain,
It slaps the bare skin of her shoulder,
Dripping down her arms onto her clothes,
Her hair sticks to her face making her look older,

She dances, and spreads her arms wide,
Closing her brown eyes, she spins around,
Her feet tapping upon the pavement as she moves,
Footsteps echo on the concrete ground,

When she is in the rain, all worry slips away,
And she can just concentrate on the wet feel,
Not have to worry about her painful past,
She can just pretend it was never real,

So bring on the pretty tears that fall,
Let them take away her pain,
Let the drops fall down onto the world,
Let her dance around in the rain.
