Whisper

by brie kelly wise   Oct 3, 2008

Let's whisper tonight
I'll start

"Don't be proud.
If you know why, don't say it out loud.
I'm scared, can you see,
are you that smart?
Of course you are, you know me.
But can you hear me?
Even when I'm whispering.
And this is where you start..."

"Of course I see.
There's more to the thoughts you think.
You can't say it loud,
you don't have to think.
Cause I know when you do, you seem to sink.
And if you sink so far down,
The war that comes with gravity,
Won't win, cause I see what it takes to not let you drown.
I've tried to hold you, try to make it known,
That the more you hide, the more you show,
how scared you are, how silent you seem.
I'll stay, don't ever believe what they say.
I know it tears you down, but I'll let you believe.
Oh, I know you're scared.
You're dead inside, don't let it eat it you alive.
Yes, I can hear you loud and clear.
And it haunts me, even when you're whispering."

So we whispered last night,
In the silence I found
That you can tell it's all in my voice.
All in my voice, all in my head, all in my thoughts
I'll let you in.
