Without your voice

by Coco Bean   Oct 4, 2008

You told me to change
but you wont say what
you say the pain is too strong
stronger than this?
I don't know what you want
only that you want it
life without your voice
is driving me to my end
I don't know what I did
your silence will not tell me
If you hate me just say so
just plunge the knife and be done
I can't take this torture anymore
can't take the not knowing
The tears the anger back and forth inside me
I'm so hurt I want to scream,
but you just remain silent
I want to cry
but you won't hear
They cry and do you care?
you say yes
but what is that about action speaking louder than words?
punish me if you must,
go ahead you are good at it
but what about them?
what did they do?
you used to know the difference
I can't ask you why
all i hear is silence
silence deafening with fear
Are you at her house?
that will be the stake in the coffin for sure
but you have secrets now and that is apparently OK
for you
silence that lasts too long will make its own decisions

I can clearly see the torment, the torment of the lack of words, the silence. I understand how the lack of communication can make the situation increasingly stressful, not just for you but for the children.

I think in these cases the action has to come from you, in order to remain in control.

    Take care
