Untitled

Starring into the starry blanket of night
Trying to count the stitches on its quilt
Each one a point of reason and light
Upon which hopeful wishes have been built

Try and remember what you've come to forget
Sift thoughtfully through the emptiness of outer space
Get lost on your way past the moon's lunette
Stunned by her wondrous beauty and her grace

Eyes linger on her face for a long while
Then continue their search near the milky way
Stumbling blindly in darkness through every mile
Growing doubtful in the silence the stars say

Just cant find that second star to the right
that would take you straight on till early morn
Theres just too many stars willing to guide you tonight
Each of their paths already well-worn

Every silent wish concealed beneath their faint glow
Every hopeful prayer that they've secretly been told
None of which are rightfully yours to know
Yet before your eyes a thousand stories unfold
