What if I were to die today?
Would it matter?
What would you say?

What if I were to runaway?
Would you look for me?
Or would you stay?

What if I were hurt, almost dead?
Would you refuse to face the fact?
Or would you come sit vigil by my bed?

What if I were locked up in jail?
Would you disown me?
Or would your love prevail?

What if I slit my wrists?
Would you get me help?
Or pretend it didn't exist?

What if I were to say I love you?
Would you say it back?
Or would you downright refuse?
