My momma's touch

by Emma B   Oct 7, 2008

Can't stop lying, pushing them away
but i don't want you to go, please just stay, stay, stay.
all i want is a hug, or perhaps to open my eyes and
see that I'm waking up next to my sweet momma on
Sunday morning, soft sheets rustling, her warmth
pulling me closer and her gentle hand resting on my face
as she whispers how she loves me.
blinking now, but I'm still here..
my deceit, my lies, my pitiful cries,
and momma's not looking 'cause
i pushed her away.
