When the hot humid day ends
And the soft cool breeze transcends
You'll find the big yellow buses on the move
The kids around, they all disapprove
They're sad, and mad, and irritated too
To see how their awesome summer flew.
They wake up early and put on their best
But all are gloomy and depressed.
It's school time, once again
And that is when they all wish to be free men.
They all want one thing, well most do at least,
And that is for school to be deceased.
They strive for the day they can finally say
"Goodbye school, Be gone and go away."
They all appear different
Their hair and clothes and pigment.
And in the end, they all want the same,
A high school graduate to be their name.
One of these kids, a boy tall and skinny
Happened to be waiting for this day since eternity
You can find him walking down the hallways
Carrying his pc in hand and always
In the other a TI-89 calculator appears
Which he had for just a few years.
MIT is his dream school
And is his most valued jewel.
His days and nights are full of science and math
Numbers and equations running down a warpath.
This all adds to his awkwardness in life
Making his colleagues think he is a lowlife.
Close or faraway you can see
That a geeky nerd is he.
Walking down the hallway on an average school day
You can find a massive crowd making their way
In the middle of them all a girl in heel stands
She is as pretty as a doll, and she voices her demands.
She has long blonde hair, and wears only pink and white
And gets her beauty sleep at night.
A socialite she is, with all her friends flirting around
A princess is what she was crowned
But even though she is loved by many
She is also disliked by many.
The outside may be one thing,
But her inside is dull and baffling.
If you're close or faraway, you can clearly see
That a Barbie is she.
And holding her hand you may find
Someone screaming and yelling, but enshrined.
He is tall and muscular, a bear he could be
He towers over them all like a huge tree.
He is amazing in his sports
Winning games and championships of all sorts.
He wears the best clothes
And lives in a big Chateau.
Only if he could be as smart in school
And he is cool.
In all his classes he can only sleep
Making the teachers anger creep.
And the thing is, he isn't the brightness crayon in the box
And he only thinks of himself, while throwing rocks.
Sitting outside along the stonewalls
You can find the people society calls
The nothings of life that cause too much strife
And party all night in their wildlife.
However, they all stick to themselves and truly believe
That everything and anything is what they can achieve.
They have all the fun, smoking their own happiness
And breathing in wonderful calmness.
They do not care too much about the past
Nor of the future, but of the present in its vast
Some talk of drugs, of music, or art,
While others are frantic and even quite smart.
Often they're called a loner, druggy, or freak
But running from their fears is really what they seek.
The last, but not least
Are the ones who believe are beast.
They rule the school hallways with their guns and knives
And bring turmoil into all of their lives.
They all just want a place of their own
A place that they can call home.
But they do come to claim territory and fight,
Which causes society much plight.
The funny thing is that most are fakes,
But don't be on their bad side, or you'll end up on stakes.
Believe me on this, it is all true,
Don't bother them, or they'll cause hullabaloo.
And so are the groups that go to this school,
Who will all share their stories from up on a stool.
They all have a tale, which starts in their heart
And comes out to be a work of art.
The story you'll hear
Is from a person with many fears.
He comes from the group that stays near the stonewalls
That society calls nothing but mothballs.
But truly there is more to him that meets the eye,
If only he was given a chance to try.
And now is his chance
He can have his last dance
To tell this tale
With great avail.
There once was a cow, her name was Daisy,
She had a big family, and sure wasn't lazy.
They all lived in a barn, on a huge farm,
And all her friends were a happy charm.
Daisy the cow loved to have fun.
She would play all day long under the golden sun.
She would play in the rocks, the mud and the sand,
But never near the green green grass would she stand.
You see, she had a little fear
The only fear she could fear.
And that was of the green green grass.
But then again she didn't like bluegrass or even crabgrass.
She would moo and scream and moo some more.
If she was even near its lore.
Then one day,
While she was eating some hay
The pig came over
To talk about a four-leaf clover.
Daisy the cow was amazed about this find
And couldn't get it out of her mind.
She asked where it was, and the pig said "Near the dear."
And then Daisy the cow stopped in fear.
She told the pig that she couldn't and wouldn't go.
And the pig wanted to know why she wouldn't and couldn't go.
She told him at last
That her fear was of the green green grass.
The pig started to laugh
And make a big chaff.
He couldn't believe that a cow could fear grass.
And even be scared of crabgrass and bluegrass.
He rolled around the mud and couldn't believe his ears,
The pig started to cry many many tears.
Now Daisy was mortified
From the pigs chide.
She was about to depart, to go her own way
Until she heard the pig squeal and pray,
"Oink Oink, no way, get away from me worm.
I hate you, ugly thing, you're a filthy bloodworm.
You slither and crawl inch by inch
And I can't stand it, you me flinch.
Get it away from me, you're my greatest fear!
I wish you would just disappear!"
When the cow saw the pig, running from the little worm,
She started to laugh at the pigs squirm.
She fell to her side mooing, laughing with tears
Thinking, My oh my, this pig has fears.
If only we could see our fears, from the eyes of others
We would see that our fears make no sense to our brothers.
No matter the fear, big or small,
We can always overcome the greatest of them all.
