Pain

by Shotput Girl   Oct 14, 2008

She lays on her bed
With a tear stained face
She looks at the ceiling
And then at his hoodie
She starts to cry yet again

3:00 am
And still up
She grabs his hoodie
And goes downstairs
She puts it on
And sits on the couch
And eyes the switchblade

She gets off the couch
Goes toward it
Takes it in her hands
And looks it over

After a few minutes
She walks to
The bathroom
With switchblade
In hand

She hurt the one
She loves
And now
They're not
Together
And she feels
Her heart
Being thrown
Against a wall
And having it shatter

She reaches
The bathroom
And takes the blade
Pushes it against
Her wrist
And makes a
Single line

The pain feels
So good
To her
So she
Makes more
Cuts on her wrists

After making
Seven more cuts
She puts the
Switchblade away

She walks around
With an aching heart
And scars to
Remind her
Of the pain
She caused him

She wears a mask
To hide everything
She feels

A smile is
Plastered on to
Her face
Showing everyone
That everything
Is okay
When she's
Dying inside

As she walks
By him
Her heart sinks
And she runs
To class
And lays her head
On the desk
And cries

She gets home
From school
She's all alone
She takes the
Switchblade
And makes more
Cuts in her wrist
And goes through
The same routine
The next
Torturous day
