In A Perfect World

by brie kelly wise   Oct 15, 2008

Awaking to witness the darkest storm in ages
Watching your anger progress in its coldest stages
In a perfect world, we would see ourselves with a smile
In a deadly world, we can't help but let it fade after awhile

Time digs a hole in my appeal to your faith
I would love to know if you've ever been threatened by fate
Taking our parts, throwing them out, I see you so defeated
This fire on a radiator goes to show it's only heat

You crossed the line, came closer to being without me
You're so lucky I came in time to bail you out before I asked what's happening
No questions asked, I'm still in love with you
In a perfect world, saying I love you remains true
