War of Love

I fight a war of love,
i battle the world to feel safe,
i struggle for acknowledgment,
unprotected, thrown out on the front line,
i surrender to the shame I've been burdened with,
unloved by the ones who should protect me,
the ones who shamed me,
the ones that stole my dignity,
i die at the front line for i am alone and unprotected
