Baby, That's Not Enough

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Oct 22, 2008

I think there's something inside me that I can't quite explain
the Milk way forgot to count it's stars,
and I've lost all contemplation of good memories.

maybe I was wrong to forget, or maybe I was wrong to even know in the first place,
but baby you've got me in tangles and I can't ride this out alone.

we can shiver and we can shake, but baby that's not enough.

let's take this serious, we'll take it slow,
for the sake of god, we'll just let him figure it out.
each memory we posses can rock our boat and tip it over;
we never knew how to swim in this sea of lies, but we're trying to keep afloat --
you can save me, only if you try, but I'm not sure I'm ready to let you go.

the tips of our tongues play tunes we can't imagine;
they whispered silently to one another, but they're saying everything that needs to be said.
Baby, let's forget the sunset and paint a new song.

I'd hate to tell you of the trickery around you,
or about the edges turning black.
you're taking my breath away and no one told you'd it'd get any easier to breath;
I'd hate to be the one to tell you.

it was like a symphony of wails, the way you tell me you love me,
it's like the city's built of steel and feeling's just ironic.
too bad we're lost in each other, or maybe we're lost in ourselves --

we can shiver and we can shake, but baby that's not enough.
