Vainly In Love

---------------------------------
Strips of agony were on his face
Sitting down in a forlorn place,
Eyes were locked in the setting sun
Regretting something he had done.

"This heart of mine keeps on waiting
with the inner hope it keeps,
But with that sad face you're having
It's been stabbed, fast and deep."

Autumn leaves blown by the hazy wind
Sending a silent message, hope you'd receive
That this heart, full of love
Would grab the chance, it could have.

I want you to......
smile for me,
laugh for me,
cry for me,
Is that too much to ask?
To return these idiotic feelings I have,
Is more worthy than grieving for the past loves you had.

But was it a miracle
That you stood up and turned,
Your once sad lips began to smile
And those watery eyes started to dry.

Unexplainable happiness to me it was,
That you were there running unto my arms
As if time stood still,
As if it was only us,
Living in this painful world of lies.

I opened my arms, welcoming your embrace
As tears flowed down from my face,
Then it struck me, you just passed through
To my body, out of blue.

You hugged her with gleaming eyes
Showing a promise that would bind,
You and her forever.

To touch.
To kiss,
To hug,
Or feel,
These things I can not do,
Because every time I would try
My fingers would just pass through.

"What game is the fate playing?"
"What are the gods trying to do?"
Is there anybody else to reckon with?
Than this broken-hearted soul.

A hopeless soul like me......
Who can smile,
Who can laugh,
Who can love,
Who can feel the pain inside.
Started to bleed in the shattered glass,
Locking her resignated heart eternally,
From all the burning pain and anxiety.
