On this Roof

by Shadow and Flame   Oct 27, 2008

I sit attune to silent music
On this delicate flower
My hands upon the fradile pedals
My face silent stone.

I sit a'swaying back and forth
On this turning pedestal
Fearful of falling down the abyss
Yet joyful to be away from home.

A spell has been cast upon me
As I lie upon this soft thrill
As night passes down upon my sky
And the moon passes her life to me.

I sit a'humming to myself
My eyes clouded with awe.
The stars dance so softly above
In this dream
On this roof.
