Land of Snow and Ice

by PygmyPuff   Oct 30, 2008

Emergency! Emergency!
It's dangerous times in the North Country.
Whipping winds, flying flakes;
Heat streaming from the bodies.
There's an answer, an easy cure
To return the stolen warmth,
"Just do it! I do it!"
But don't give in to the pressure of the snow bank.
Lights out; the power's gone
Everywhere but for the lucky few.
Jealousy arrives,
Awakening the un-illuminated room.
An answer to the dangerous, intense winter storm.
"You're not alone...
Last chance to take my help..."
"No. No. No. I can't do it and I won't."
My escape is now lost,
Instead, rescued is my friend.
