Senseless Heart

by Amir Riveroll   Nov 7, 2008

When you walk away..
Will you hold my hand?
Will the touch end at our fingertips
Eyes cast so you see not how my heart shall rip
Arm outstretched, longing each parting step
Bitter pill, the world is still.

Bitter, bitter pill, I am forced to swallow
Tears will follow. Tears will follow..

When you walk away..
Will you leave me with a part of you
As I've given you a part of me?
Will that piece of you fit easily,
In that void, that hole that you do leave
Inside of me. Inside of me..

I wander aimlessly, senselessly,
Victim to my teary eyed dependency.
Blurry vision from my hearts confusion,
Spilling a watery rendition of welled emotion

And so you walk away..
On your journey you depart,
I'll miss you that is obvious

Broken apart. I am broken apart.
Don't look and see my brokenness.
This emotion! It is senseless.
"All is well, all is well"..
In time these words my mouth shall tell

Not to dwell, not to moan,
My beloved friend it is well known.. to us,
We meet to part, meet to part..
What I speak of is purely a matter
