Stay

by Soulful Ensemble   Nov 7, 2008

Stay quiet so I can hear the riot as my mind is calm
And ready to watch the time go on.
But slowly drifting planets dont stop to let the wind just
blow,
And speedy little gnomes never know which way the wind
goes.
They're all convinced they don't need a weather man to
know.

You came and went like a bad joke dropped on my head
From miles above falling heavy like a two-ton bed.
You couldn't stay to say goodbye so now i'll say it
Goodbye sweet love, goodbye happiness, I quit
The smiles left me as you split.
My sadness has made me brain dead
And who cares to know I've bled
How will you find me now that I am dead?
All because you couldn't say goodbye and fled.

I love you, I guess that is enough said..
Next time you are around lets lay in bed
So I don't feel ditched like stale bread
Left drying stiff out in the humid shed.
I think my brain is coming back from the dead
And exaggeration's fury has now left my head.
