What she wants

by Edward Elric   Nov 7, 2008

Why does this girl
Divide the stars by their color
But whenever she looks at them
They just get smaller and smaller

Didn't she hear this song before?
The piano holds her close
Like the arms of a lover
That will soon discover

This is what she wants
To fly away like the birds
But she didn't say when she'll come back
Will she come back?

She suffocates her only dream
For she is soon to discover
Everyone has left her
Even her lover

The piano cries
A tear for a broken heart
Will he hear her sing?
Right before she breaks apart

This is not what she wants
But what she has been given
A lone tear for a broken heart
And a crime that cannot be forgiven

The violins scream
Once for the life she wants
Twice for what she is given
And never for her lost dream

Open the gates of hell
And welcome the broken girl
Her white dress shines like a pearl
This isn't what she wants

A pray for hope
For the brave and the young
No more songs left unsung
This is the world she wants

Pull the stars closer
Light everything that was black
And look for the broken girl
Will she come back?
