The love-letter Never Received

by ViolentlyDisturbed   Nov 8, 2008

He was high on shadows, the night he died
Drunk on words, and lost in this life
she wrote him a letter just to say "goodbye"
He never got to read her pitiful poem
Ungraceful words jumbled together on a paper
But words from the deepness of her heart
Cigaret smoke curls in the wind as she writes
Cigaret smoke lingers in his lungs as he choked
Choked on the bitter pills he swallows
Side by side they both died tonight
His body found laid to rest on the rail road ties
Her heart hung by a noose in-between two colliding trains
His last breathe taken in the cold night
Her last heart beat taken in the solus of her room
