Romance at a dance

by Amber   Nov 9, 2008

Slowly and elegantly he walks down the stairs towards me.
Flashing his crystal blue eyes my way, I felt like I should flee.
I felt like I should run away before I fell for him and got hurt.
My feet did not move because I knew I wanted to stay and flirt.

Soon his eyes lock onto mine, I begin to blush and he smiles.
I gaze at his perfect smile that seems to go on for miles.
He walks closer to me making my heart flutter and race.
I feel his breath upon my neck as he moves up towards my face.

Hesitantly but gently he gave me a kiss on my cheek.
He then took me by my waist making me feel weak.
With his hand around my waist, he led me to the stairs.
He took me to his room, which looked like a millionaires.

His eyes began to twinkle and lust began to show through.
The lust became brighter in his eyes of crystal blue.
Gently placing his lips upon mine, we end up meeting the bed.
Moving his hands around my body, I knew what was ahead.

His rips our clothes off and let his hands wander even more.
Soon under the blankets we let loose love's wondrous roar.
A wondrous roar that, from others we could not hide.
Ofcourse though it had to end as our bodies began to divide.

Clothes back on, we walk down the stairs back to the dance.
Dancing in circles bodies touching, we knew this was romance.
Finally though, this romance dance had come to an end,
Who knew I would find romance at a dance that wasn't pretend.

The structure of the poem was very good. As was the flow and rhyme scheme. I was just curious about one thing: had she just met this guy? 5/5

Towards the end I was thinking this should've gone on the explicit section of poetry, but you didn't describe any sexual related activity in detail so I guess it fits here ;]

OVerall the poem is very good, you've gotten so much better since day one, if only people would read your stuff more they'd realize that they've been missing out on a lot!
