I tried to remember
But got lost in time
There wasn't a way back
Except through this rhyme

I tried to forget
But am reminded by sorrow
Its holding me back and
Won't let me see tomorrow

I tried to focus
But everythings twisted
My hearts been beaten
And my pain I've admitted

I tried to accept
But my heart wouldn't
My emotions are broken
And they just couldn't

I tried to pretend
But giving fake smiles
Won't hide the tears
That ran for miles

I tried to kill the pain
But now I bare more
So I lay here dying
Still cold and sore
