Unfortunate event

by Coleman   Nov 12, 2008

I've never told anyone what had happened that day...
Unfortunately the event was unstoppable at my dismay...
I've learned in life there are two types of persons...
One's who start calmly and others that start cursing...

I've longed to live in a world of full peace...
Unfortunately that's impossible to say the least...
I've given up plenty for the little i have left...
A world of glory if only i could go deaf...

Deaf to the ears that haunt me so...
Listening to everyone yelling and shouting, so petty and low...
I've grown hostile toward the ones i loved dearly...
And hurt by those I've cherished so nearly...

I guess the point that the event took place...
Was having my role model getting in my face...
Not to compliment but to test me...

Testing me to a duel to a game of sports...
One where our fists would inevitably contort...
the body of our competitor, and whose to blame...
A game of sports that i believe to be a shame...

Unfortunately I've grown hostile and belligerent...
And my life of peace has had its time spent...
I've told myself in the past i would never cause pain...
Unfortunately that was a promise i would break, what a shame...

All because of an event that was unstoppable that day.....
