Loving a Player

by Kasie   Nov 13, 2008

Loving a player,
Is not the same.
As love is real,
And not a game.

And here I sit,
My heart torn layer by layer.
Torn to shreds,
By a simple player.

I loved him more than anything,
And the way he made me laugh.
Who thought "just friends'
Would shatter me like glass.

Trying so hard to hide my pain,
I can't last much longer.
My heart is aching,
My mind racing.

I cannot run from it,
I cannot hide.
It's right here with me,
No matter how hard I try.

Haunting my mind,
Are memories of him.
That leave behind,
His dreadful sin.

My words are running short,
As the restless night grows longer.
My feelings are fading,
As my love grows stronger.

But before I leave this dreadful page,
There is something you should know.
These feelings come from the heart,
Of the love I long the show.

    Kasie,

This is very good and I particularly liked the way you incorporated the idea of a 'player' being impossible to love because love - after all - is not a game.

Great write and all the best,

    Ben
