Please and Thank You, Mr. Dove

by RussianRendezvous   Nov 14, 2008

In my sleep, I hear the discussions on the T.V screen.
The nightmares of reality take their toll,
Cuz we only aim to profit off of eachother and hold our heroes down.

Our children, with poison given to them by the hand of god.
Adminestered by parents that are all stressed out,
by their bosses, and their spouses and themselves.

But there's no reason to give up so soon, anyway.
It's still our game, we've got breathing room and cards to play.
There's a point that I have yet to prove when push comes to shove.
So I stand my ground just waiting on you, Mr. Dove.

Outside of obsession with self-image and our vanity,
We're all ugly somehow,
And so is this war, cuz all we've got is nothing without eachother
I tired of choosing sides.

Fall in place, pray that someday everything will fall in place.
The kinks will be worked out and peace will be consistant with all else.

Tommorow, I'll wake to the shedding of a brand new light.
Cuz hope is like a phoenix and with the help of love we can all be born agian.

Well your poems concept was very well thought out and put into writing in a beautifull heartfelt way, war/peace is something close to my heart as my country teeters on the brink of civil war.
Well done on an excellent poem, just watch your spelling
