Grandma

by Shauna   Nov 14, 2008

I've known you since I was a little girl
You watched my life start to unfurl.
We used to just sit around and talk
Or just go for a lovely walk.
Now, we can't do that
We can only sit on the phone and chat.
We live in different states
And that is something that I truly hate.
I wish I could see you everyday
And that you weren't so far away.
I look forward to the summers I see you
All the other reasons for going out there are untrue.
I have my mom and my dad
And, no, they aren't so bad.
But they can't compare to how you make me feel
Having a granma like you just seems unreal.
I know I can tell you anything
I always love the happiness you bring.
No one else has your loving touch
Grandma, I love you so much.

-This is dedicated to my wonderful grandma that lives in California..
