A day in my life

by Dylan   Nov 19, 2008

Rise and shine your feet lower to the floor
cotton mouth and drooping eyes drag you too the door
thoughts still raging threw your head
of all the things that went on before you hit the bed
the dreams that you had have diminished within the binds of your mind
lost and confused you wander all day but are never really able to find
the dreams you once had, the fullness to your emotion
chipped away like a rock but stay firm to life devotion
memories past and memories gone
new days will shine the brightest lights that will brighten the sky in the midst of dawn
be tight with your friends you never know when you could need them most
for it is not the man with the most, its the man with the heart to toast
the friends to bring the skip back into your beet
the friends that give you a reason to wake to your feet
wait for the end of the day no worries no strife
because you have just walked a day in my life.
