Not Surviving But Living

by Emma   Nov 19, 2008

You can't touch me anymore.
I won't be hurt by men.
I'm not surviving now,
I am living life again.

I have needed this day
When I am back to being strong.
I've been powerless against you
For a million years too long.

Each hour that passed without you
Seemed to me a year.
But now I'm not surviving,
I can live without you near.

I don't care if you're happy,
Or if you like her so.
I don't care if she stays with you.
I don't care if she goes.

I can finally be happy
In myself again.
I can go without your face,
I can go without all men.

I can be single and love it.
I can start all over.
I don't need good luck charms,
Don't need a four-leaved clover,

Don't need to have a little cry
Every once in a while.
It feels so good to be alone
And still find I can smile.
