Do You Remember Bosworth?

by Emma   Jan 30, 2009

Do you remember Bosworth?
Yes, I remember well.
Grass-blades stained in English blood
When good King Richard fell.

A gamble on hellish hill,
A King's life for a bet.
I recall the price they paid.
The last Plantagenet.

I recall the final fight:
Another Agincourt.
I remember Yorkist days,
Remember the White Boar.

How they loved him in the North!
How much they did applaud!
Such appreciation for
Their noble Gloucester lord.

Now five hundred years have passed
And the field is forgot.
Do you remember Bosworth?
No, I remember not.
