The OverFlow (Part 3) The Dream

by Lynn Anderson   Nov 19, 2008

Last night I fell asleep in your arms.
I dreamed of the day,
That forever touched eternity.
By your side, in your arms.
My heart was warmed.

You were nothing but yourself,
The way we always planned it.
You offered me a sliver band and pearl.
I took your hand, the pearl and band,
With no hesitation.

My dress was peach.
Like the color of our skin.
With a long white overlay,
And a bright green pin.

I did not wear a veil.
Nothing to cover or hide.
My father walked with me.
To leave me at your side.

You were filled with love and energy.
More than I've ever seen you.
Handsome and waiting with a smile.
To claim me as your bride.

The sun did rise.
I did awake.
I left you sleeping.
So you could also,
Enjoy your dreams.
