Forsaken somewhere within

by Arun Khan   Nov 21, 2008

Forsaken somewhere within
drinking words unspoken
intranquilty rushing to begin
carrying faithful prayers so broken

As the night creeps over the city
like a hore to her knees
underneath gunshots so pretty
bullets and fear aim to please
while rotten souls sneak upon kittens feet
and the stench of bleeding screams are but my winter sheet
fumbling and mumbling curses incoherently
following demons wherever they may be
And while I suffer within no ones atrocity
I bicker over my traitors animosity

Forsaken somewhere within
laughing at jokes unspoken
intranquilty blushing before we begin
playing with bodies so broken

As the day begs to differ
like a beggar rampaging through the streets
above raindrops that come to slither
heeding to my hedonistic heartbeats
and the festering breath of derogatory plays upon my cheek
inured I smile as it's eyes begin to reek
so in between my equivocal footsteps and depravity
I portray such confidence bordering to effrontery

Forsaken somewhere within
crying for condolences unspoken
intranquility kissing my every sin
I'm nothing not even broken.

^^Amazing start to this poem with such a vivid depiction but mesmerises me with such ease.

The second stanza was just so amazing. Your choice of words seemed so perfect in the sense that it echoed more than just feelings and vivid description. It showed more than just a perfect picture of dark secrets.

The repetition also added alot of emphasis into this poem. Overall it was another great work from you. 5/5
