She Lays Dead

by Soulful Ensemble   Nov 23, 2008

You were decieved by the three-ring circus
Yet you keep coming back for more.
Just to be a bad girl and do against what you were told.
You get pleasure from seeing your mother's eyes
When you do the things she takes as lies
And you only do them to get dispised.
You ravel in the joy of being hated
And smile with every frown you've created.
Someday you'll realize that when you're sedated
The world still spins and your body will be old and dated
And if you don't move away you will remain outdated.
How could it be that you and me are related?
When I see your eyes, its somebody else instead
The one I knew tried to run full speed ahead
And fell down a deep hole where she lays dead.
Now I know why Judas wept as Jesus bled.
