So Cold

by Rikki   Nov 29, 2008

It's so cold
So cold, without you.
Why won't you see me?
I don't know what to do.

Things used to be different, better.
Now you can't bear the sight of me.
What did I do wrong?
I love you more than anything.

I can't take the waiting
I can't wait my whole life for you.
Yet, you are my life.
So what am I to do?

It's so cold
So cold, here on the floor.
The tears make it worse
Make it cold all the more.

I hear a car door,
Jump up to see if it's you
But it never is
And my heart breaks in two.

All this breaking,
there's bound to be an end
But when the breaking's done
There won't be anything left.

So I lay here on the floor
and cry myself to sleep.
But this slumber is forever
And where the pain isn't so deep.
