Stay, Like Stone

by Purple   Dec 1, 2008

If I died for you
Would you spit on my corpse?
If I cried for you
Would you laugh in my face?
If I was yours
Would you leave me behind?

Which one hurts more?
Which one is worse...?
Spit on my corpse but don't leave me
Laugh in my face, but please stay
I'd rather have that pain

Without you I crumble
Rotted to the core
Even with you spitting on me
I can stand it
If I know you chose to stay

If you leave me behind
And I die for you
Will you spit on my corpse
Will you forget I was ever yours?

If you leave me
And I stay for you
I cry for you
Will you laugh in my face?
Consider me worth only spite?

If I'm forever yours and you leave me
Am I forever nothing to know?
Leave me behind and you'll find that
You may have a corpse to show

Will you spit on my corpse
If I die for you
Will you laugh in my face
When I cry
Will you leave me forever
Or stay a friend

I can live without romance
But I make myself need
Your love.

Each day you say hello
I'll know you're there
Even if we are nevermore
Each day you say hello
You are there

My love will stay
It'll never die
It's tough as time
Tough as stone.
