A Ballet of Sorts

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Dec 15, 2008

Twirling in a world of faux reality,
a ballerina playing in a fountain of age.

Not quite the fairy tale she remembers.

I struggle to understand this twisted story
a web of deceiving truths that is so confusing
there is no choice but for it to make sense.

That's not quite the reality I remember.

This jaded ballerina performs a last grande plié,
and the crowd goes wild.
The sound of one hand clapping vigorously
breaks through her sudden triumph.

Not quite the ended she remembers.

==Sorry, had to leave before I finished.==

    For the content of the poem, well written, dispite the lack of ending, i was profoundly impressed by the complexity of a multi-emotional veiw instead of the standered single emotional veiw that is commen in poetry. Well handled and well accepted my friend. and to enlighten your question about my poem, Raven of my Soul, yes, the alluision of Poe was on purpose, i have a few poems that do that. I am a Poe enthuisiest.

    Wow. a very difficult poem to get to know. considering the writer doesnt seem to understand the poem herself completely. trying to catch the feelings of the ballerina. its a mix and mingle of everyones emotions. strangly. i loved it!!!
