Butterfly flutters

by MorbidCupcake   Dec 20, 2008

I watch the clouds go by alongside those midnight birds
And in that moment I envy them
They have the strength to move on when the dark is starting to hurt
And I envy them
Because everytime I try to let go, it just doesn't work

The sinking feeling in my chest
Is dancing through my blood
With a butterfly pulse created by millions of gallons

I spoke the words
You said goodbye
An now he's here in your place
My saving grace
That you could never be

Bouncing in my aura
My heart is pounding through my rib cage
The love bug has finally bit
Making me feel deranged
But it's a nice kind of strange
