Broken Smiles

I put a smile on my face for all too see
I make everything look bright and sunny
Like everything is the ways its meant to be

I make everyone think I love my family
I love my life
And I love the way I get told what to do

And even though I have a smile on my face
And a hello to everyone
No one will know the kind of feelings I have

Because then it will lead to questions,
And disbelief.

So for now I smile for all to see
Even thought the real me is slowly fading away.
