My Country

by Beth   Jun 9, 2004

Curse words lost their connotation
We're living in the filthy nation
Everyone's lost their patience,
Kids lost their innocence

And i can't make sense of it all
Everyone is so bloody dense
We think we're the best
When we can't pass our own citizen test

Accepting things too much of a trifle,
But you want to keep your killing rifle,
Homophobic to the bone,
But it's okay if you want to be stoned,
And you make your stupid opinions known

We wanted to take over everything,
I half believe we're in hell's ring,
Sit down and shut up, I'm sick of you,
And I hate you through and through

This is my country,
And I'm through with it,
I feel like everyone's lit,
And nothing seems fit,
And this is my country,
