We all love you, We all miss you

by SceneQueen108   Dec 23, 2008

She sits at home shedding tears
The loss of a loved one, she just can't bare
Thinking to herself, she noticed in her heart
There's a new wound, a new tear.

She does not cry in vain
All her tears are from the pain,
Her tiny heart weilds
From this experience what does she gain?

The tears she sheds burns her eyes.
Her mother tells her,
"Everyone who's lived there lifetime dies,
His time was up and is now with God.
He's in a better place
and has once again joined his parents."

She stops crying for a moment
Looks up at her mother and says,
"Well then Mom,
As long as he's happy,
I'm happy"

Her tears stopped flowing
She took her sleeve and wiped her eyes
and prayed to God.
"Take care of my Grampy,
he's in your hands now.
Make sure he finds his way alright,
and he finds his family quickly.
I will miss him,
but I'm glad he's safe.
I'm glad he's home with you."

Tears weld up in her eyes once more.
"Grampy, I love you very much.
I will miss you very much too.
I will take care of Nana,
but only while you two are seperated.
We all love you.
We all miss you.
We are all happy for you.
I ask you only one more thing,
Watch over us
and wait at the gates of Heaven
So that when Nana is ready to join you once more,
you will be there waiting,
and she too will then be at home.
Be her Guardian Angel,
is all i ask."

She kissed her hands
and threw them up in the air.
Opened her eyes,
and slowly she smiled.

"I'm sure he's happy,
so I'm going to be happy.
A few more tears I'll cry,
but in the end my eyes will be dry."

I dedicate this poem to my great-grandfather Grampy who passed away 12-22-08. He was the heart of our family and still is, because he is at the center of our hearts. We all love him and we are happy that he is now in a better place and he is once again with his Mom and Dad. And I know he is waiting for my Nana.

This brought a tear to my eye. So heartfelt and sad but you still find peace in knowing he is now happy and free from any pain.
He will always be with you and watching over you...
