Numb The Mind, Taste The Fear

by CourtneyyContageous   Dec 23, 2008

A point of no return
Where the mind seeks forgiveness
But the heart seeks damnation
When the body cries to be uplifted
While it mourns the breaking soul
Life, ceases to exist
And the only thing for you to feel, is numb

Where you're heart forever bleeds
A crimson taste of despair
Walking along a path of shattered stone
Shadows, bolting around every corner
The only light, is from the dimming stars
Sound, echoing eerily across the black ocean
While you sit among the heartbreak

Forever, stuck in this painful world
This painful state of mind
And you will wait, for days on end
For death to take your sleepless body
An eternity of a lifeless soul
Welcome to the depths of the numbing canyon
Where the only life, is your's alone
