Sing to the angels

by Joe Eijyuu   Dec 23, 2008

A lone forlorn heart
Is barely ticking in this silent night,
All I hear is the sleigh bells from afar
And the falling snow on the garden near.

Treetops are white
And the wind is deadly calm and quiet,
Yet I felt singing to the angels and I should
So I did it loud and proud as midnight passed.

Suddenly snow stopped
And sky was star-studded and alighted,
Then my phone rang unexpectedly from her
Asking me to come and sing in her church choir.

Thus I sing with all my heart
In thanking the angels as she is here tonight,
Few teardrops glisten in her eyes as she smiles
And the softest snowflakes gently float around us.
