Christmas Eve

by Jessica   Dec 24, 2008

I thought
Christmas was supposed to be happy
But I look around
And see my mom crying in the cornor
My dad laying on the couch
Surronded by beer cans
I see my brother in his room
Drowning everything out
It's Christmas Eve
And Mom's crying
Dad's drunk
Brother's ignorning me
I'm hoping tommorow
Mom will be laughing
Dad will be singing
Brother will be dancing with me
But I know
Tommorow Dad's gonna be drunk
And yelling
Brother's gonna be locked in his room
Mom's gonna be sobbing
And I'm gonna be left alone
Because
Christmas Eve
Just makes my problems become
A reality
