Dreams of the Absent Minded

by My Love Lies Bleeding   Dec 29, 2008

I toss and turn deep in my sleep
Thoughts and images in my mind do creep.
Can you hear them?
They cry for you
Just a little girl reaching on for a single hope;
But where are you to hand me the rope?

Living to try and make you happy.
But all it does is make me weep
Cause your love just feels so cheap.

This mask of lies I leave out on my face...
You little baby girl in satin and lace
Lost in this world... Gone without a trace.
She isn't me... all the memories my mind forces me to keep.

Tears run down my sleeping eyes
knowing slowly because of you a part of me is dieing,
you say you "love me" and want me to let you in;
as if not would be the worlds biggest sin.

These emotions and demons I keep inside
I blame you because even if I wanted to let you in,
I could not win. my walls have been put up to protect Me from all your bullshit and lies
I'm sick and tired of all the crying
Watching my heart slowly dieing.

So I will toss and turn on final time,
cause I've found out the hardest way to say good-bye.
