The pain of suicide

by Enigma   Dec 29, 2008

His friend committed suicide,
and now he wants the same.
I don't know what I'd do if I'd,
lost someone again.

I know I may seem selfish,
but I don't want you to go.
I really thought you'd know this,
but I guess that isn't so.

You look me in the eye,
and swear your love is true.
I don't think I'd survive,
if I had to live without you.

Do you understand the pain I'd feel,
if you left me here so alone?
Time may pass but wounds don't heal,
I need you more than you'll even know.

Things aren't looking all to bright,
even five months down the lane.
I wish I could show you there is light,
but things will never be the same.
