Poem about life

by Enigma   Feb 10, 2009

You can see it in her eyes,
and hear it in her voice.
Yet she has no idea why,
in loving you she has not a choice.

Her heart is tearing,
Bleeding on the floor.
She bleeds for her old life,
the way things were before.

With plush toys and lollies,
and ice-creams galore.
For friendship and dollies,
now everyone just wants more.

But life just isn't like that,
it's not so easy, not so pleasing.
Everyone's different, everything's changed,
the stupid fights, the sensual teasing.

Do what you see fit,
to satisfy the rest.
But don't bother trying,
you'll never be their best.
