Where are we now

by Rodney Kirby   Dec 29, 2008

Look at what we have done,
Where are we at now?
All questions come into my head,
But most of all is how.
How could it come to this,
We had some very good years.
Now lately all we do is fight,
With arguments followed by tears.
We used to talk forever,
And lay in the grass and watch the sun,
Now we hardly talk at all,
And cant wait till the other is done.
Smiles use to be the norm,
Now their extremely rare,
You talk now as if I bother you,
And if i'm hurt you dont really care.
I used to make you anyting you want,
And rushed to open your door,
Now im scarred by all our fighting,
Being nice has become a chore.
Where do I fit in this picture?
In my heart I have much disdain,
For a person I once loved so much,
Now loving words I refrain.
The mere thought of your touch,
used to bring delight to my soul.
Our passion is all but gone,
our two halves used to be whole.
Where are we now?
Is our distance to great?
To resume our True Love,
That from the begining was fate.
God I leave it up to you,
Please get us back to where we were.
I can no longer live a life,
My life is nothing without her.

    I liked this.
    Emotions were on point.
    This happeneds everyday
At the end people can no longer take it
so they turn to god. He works wonders
    And what wonders they are.
    I loved it.
    Amazing!

My gosh...this one is filled with talent. The word flow is very very nice and the message is one most people experience at one time or another. So insightful. I love it. 5/5
